The Aegean ring features a translucent, freeform shaped rose-cut tourmaline of African origin. Available in lagoon greens and blues and vivid cerise pinks.
Each tourmaline I have selected for use in this design has an ethereal beauty.
Some have thread-like inclusions, others look like the bottom of a clear blue lake.
Each tourmaline is set in a Sterlium bezel on an oxidised band which has been forged using traditional metalsmithing methods, creating a one of a kind texture and form that cannot be exactly recreated.
Each bezel is created with an open back design to allow light to flow through the stones and show off its beauty.
Stones have been photographed in natural daylight with no editing other than lighting/contrast to depict their true form.
Sterlium is a proprietary alloy that uses Germanium in place of most of the copper that you'd find in Sterling silver. This is an alloy that is tarnish-resistant so you will find that the bezel retains its beautiful white metal colour much longer than a sterling silver bezel would.
• 5-9mm stone, choose the one that speaks to you from the drop-down.
• Bezel set
• Oxidised Sterling and Sterlium silver alloys
• Rose-cut freeform
CARE: The oxidation on the band has been applied in several layers. It will burnish away on the high areas and remain in the recesses if taken care of.
To prolong the length of the oxidation, remove your jewellery when washing and showering, do not wear in the ocean or to the beach. I have found that when wearing my beautifully oxidised jewellery to the beach I have come home and realised they are all bright and shiny again! A great trick for all your unwanted tarnishings but not if you want to keep that lovely black and white contrast.
Carefully choose your CORRECT size, if you make a mistake I cannot resize this particular piece due to the nature of the stone and setting.
